After naptime we headed into Greensboro for a visit to the Children's Museum. It was Gammy's first time there and I think she enjoyed it as much as the rest of us. We also ran into some friends (Madara, Jeremy and their little boy Matthew) which was nice as we got a chance to catch up with them. On this visit to the museum, we had the opportunity to explore a little more and E had a blast at all the different centers. She played music at the music center...
Did the weather forecast for the entire state (which she loved)....got to be inside a gigantic bubble...
Explore a real fire truck....build sand castles and find buried treasure in the sand box....and go for a ride in the Fourth of July wagon!
After such an eventful day, this little girl crashed hard! Saturday we checked out the Fourth of July celebration at Lake Reidsville. After getting accumulated to her surroundings, Emma played a carnival game where she won a 4th of July pin-wheel....
Played on the playground with Gammy....and enjoyed her funnel cake treat!
Saturday evening our neighbors (Holly and Matt), hosted a BBQ and although we couldn't stay very long, Emma had the chance to play with Simon and Jeremiah (Holly's nephews). What a day :)
Sunday we played it low key and went to the Farmer's Market to pick up some fresh vegetables and fruit for Gammy to take home. Emma got to enjoy a nice treat of ice cream and surprised Mom and Dad by drinking juice for the first time.
Sadly, Gammy had to leave Monday morning....she had definitely been missed!!! Thanks again for coming down and spending time with us!
