Well another crazy week has come to an end! Overall it was a pretty good week minus the fact that little Miss Sunshine is getting sick yet again :( This time though it doesn't seem to have an effect on her energy level, just her attitude at times (or maybe that's just the terrible two's starting early?!)
E's language development is really taking off. We try everyday to get her to say a new word and although it may not sound perfect, she's trying. She can now say; "please", "meatball", "blueberry", "purple", "Abuela", "Hi" and "duck". When we're not trying to get her to say new words, she continues to jabber incestantly....she's definitely going to be a non-stop talker.
We had another swim lesson this weekend. E did really well with kicking her legs and moving her arms, she seems to really be getting the hang of it. She's also trying to blow bubbles in the water but it becomes more of a drinking than anything else.
Practicing our kicking.
Wearing her first "floatie".
I don't think I mentioned it in a prior post, but earlier in the spring I was able to plant another vegetable garden. Last year I was never able to get around to it so I was excited to do it this year. We planted a few new things but nothing unusual; cucumbers, squash, zucchini, cantalopue, green & red peppers, tomatos, green beans, peas and strawberries. We've taken Emma out with us to do some weeding in the garden but this weekend it was time for pickin'!! She was definitely a good helper, putting both the picked peas and green beans in the basket for us.
We didn't get a whole bunch but hey, its early in the season!
And as if our entire lifestyle down here isn't country enough.... I decided to go a little green and hang a clothes line! Its pretty fun and quick plus it brings back memories of hanging out clothes with my Grandmother. Plus I figured why not? We've got all this land so its not like there's anyone who can see our under-roos anyway!

Luke left for VA yesterday and E's heart was just broken. I had to run to the store just after Luke left and every time Emma saw a man in the store she would point to him and ask me, "Daddy?" I'm really interested to see how she reacts to him leaving as she gets older and understands more.
Luckily it is a short work week because of the 4th and Daddy will be coming home Thursday evening! On top of that, Gammy will be coming down Thursday morning and staying until Monday :) Its been about 3 months since we last had Gammy come down for a visit and I know Emmy will be excited to see her!!!
Hope you all have a wonderful and safe 4th of July!
