Three years ago today Luke and I welcomed our son, Jackson Eli, into our lives. In honor of his birthday we threw a little family birthday party (something we do every year). Last year Emma wasn't really old enough to participate so this year was a first for her. I don't think she understood what was going on, although we tell her about Jackson often (she can even say his name), only that she got to eat a mini-cupcake and help blow out a candle.

Just like at her first birthday (although she did lick the frosting off), she wasn't really into eating the cupcake.
Daddy on the other hand had no problem with his :)

Happy Birthday to Jackson (and you guys!!!). I wish I could have met him. Just the other day I was wondering about his time of year. Glad you posted pictures and were able to celebrate as a family today! Extra prayers going your way. :)
