First Plane Ride, Playing in VA and Halloween

Alright, so I went on a blogging frenzy and then took a little time off....If you could see my day planner you wouldn't blame me ;) Anyway, back to it despite the raging headache that refuses to leave me :(
A few weeks before Halloween I decided I wanted to spend the holiday weekend in VA, afterall it had been a while since I'd been home for a visit. So, I began making plans only to find out that Luke was suppose to be in VA that following Monday for work :( Not wanting to brave a 5 hour returning car ride by myself with Emma, I decided we would fly. Unsure but determined to make it work, I booked the flight and kept my fingers crossed for good weather, a happy and healthy toddler.
The trip up exceeded my hopes! Although the morning was a little stressful (we had a early flight), I managed to get us ready, out the door and to the airport with plenty of time to spare. I tried to prepare Emma as best I could but I don't think she really understood until we got to the airport. At that point all she really cared about was pointing to all the airplanes and saying, "Mommy, airplane fly!!!"
**Pictures from the airplane will have to wait since they are on my phone and I have NO clue how to get them to the pc, sorry!**

The week at home was great. We spent time playing, visiting and just hanging out. It was a really fun time!!

Scoopin' leaves at the park

Looking for those airplanes!

Taking a stroll

Walking the "balance beam" with Gammy

Since its not often that Emma and I get to go up to VA anymore, Halloween was a special treat as Emma got to play with her cousins. After a couple of hours of playing, some dinner and some group parenting; we were finally able to get everyone out the door for some trick or treating.

Momma's little ladybug!

Ready for some candy!
(front to back: Naomi as Minnie Mouse and Brooke as a Princess [Sorry I can't remember which one she was and of course I don't know any of them by sight])

The holiday season is just a tad bit busy for us this year but I will do my best to post when I can find the time!
