Cow Trains, Tractors made from Straw and Pumpkins

It was another busy weekend for us! Abuela, Abuelo and Emma's great Uncle Larry made a trip down from VA for a visit. Overall it was a great weekend (aside from waking up to a crib covered in vomit and then spending 3 hours getting E checked out...more on that later!).
Being that Halloween is quickly approaching, I really wanted to take E to a pumpkin patch and get a pumpkin. Never having been to one down here, I began my search online. (By the way, for all of you looking for pumpkin patches...check out this website http://www.pumpkinpatchesandmore.org/index.php) After a few unsuccessful phone calls (I guess the drought really hurt some of the pumpkin farms this year) I finally found one.... J. Razz and Tazz Farm! It was great!!! Although the weather was a bit on the chilly side (fear not, the farm sells hot chocolate), Emma seemed to REALLY enjoy herself and of course Luke and I loved watching every minute of her excitement :)

Found the perfect pumpkin!

Searching hard for another prize winner ;)

The farm had build some pretty neat things using hay stacks; tractors, a mountain and a spider.

Here's Daddy teaching her how to drive the tractor.

I think Daddy enjoyed this as much as Emma did :)

Drivin' solo. "No worries Dad, I'm a pro!"

Getting ready to climb through the tunnel of "hay mountain"

So when I spoke with the lady from the farm on the phone, she told me about this thing called the "Cow Train." Maybe its because I'm not from here but I had absolutely NO idea what she was talking about. Upon arrival to the farm I was surprised at what I saw.....a tractor that pulls little homemade "cow-cars" behind it. What a cute idea!!! Needless to say, this was Emma's favorite thing...she even cried when it was time to get off.

Getting to know "Bessie"

Taking a spin with Mommy

And another round with Daddy

A picture of the "cow train" in action just so you guys get the idea!

As far as the vomit-covered toddler....
it seems that the sinus infection Emma had back at the beginning of the month never cleared up and after a few days of being off the antibiotic her nasty cough returned, which in turn led to her coughing so hard one night she made herself throw-up. Ironically she never cried to let us know something was wrong so we weren't aware of what had happened until the next morning! I guess that's the con of having a toddler who sleeps so well at night :(
Stay tuned for pictures of E's adventures at The Little Gym!!!
