Play Date at the Park

Its been a while since I posted about the play dates that we've had so I thought since we had one this weekend, I'd actually remember to bring my camera and capture the fun.  I thought my main obstacle was going to be to remember the camera however I quickly learned that trying to capture two, two year olds both facing the camera at the same time is impossible!!

Since Luke was out of town this week/weekend I debated about whether to follow through with our normal Saturday morning routine of breakfast in town and then the park, as it can be challenging on a good morning to get E up and out of the house before 8am, but thought it also might be a good chance to see if  Misty and her little girls would like to have a breakfast/play date.  Luckily, Misty was willing to brave the morning routine at her house that early and agreed to go with us.

So, E and I picked up breakfast at Delicious Bakery (strawberry/lemon muffins that were by the way oh so yummy!) and headed to Country Park.  Fortunately I happened to go exploring with E a couple of weekends ago and stumbled upon a different section of Country Park that has a playground in the shade; a major plus in this weather and perfect for Misty's 6 month old baby girl.

After those awesome muffins the girls were ready to play....just not necessarily together :)  Finally, after hours of swinging, jumping, etc. I was able to capture the girls together....needless to say I think they both enjoyed themselves and it was good to have some "girl" time with Misty.

Misty, Alayna and Abby- Thanks for braving the heat with us!!

Because of an unexpected change in plans that afternoon, Em and I went back to the park (per her request) for some Mommy/Emma play time. Wow, this girl can wear me out!!
