Alright, time for a little rewind posting!
Being that the time has come when our outside play time with Emma is decreasing due to the weather, I was anxious to find something that she would enjoy and keep her active during the winter months. After talking with "Aunt" Kelly (friends of ours with a little girl just older than Emma) and hearing her recommendations of The Little Gym, I decided to check it out. The great thing about this place, they offer a free trial :)
Happy to try anything for free, I set it up to see how it would go. Now we all know how active Emma can be so it comes as no surprise that if you put her in a room with a bunch of foam mats, bars to hang from, balance beams to walk, balls, etc., she's pretty sure she's in play heaven. Did you get that? SHE LOVED IT!!! Needless to say we've signed up for the rest of the "semester" which runs until the end of Jan.
Luke was able to catch a few pictures and a little video of the fun she had....
Perfecting the balance beam. Emma loves this so much that we've set up a make-shift balance beam using extra wood from the barn.

Not sure if you can separate Emma's voice from the others but there are several "squeals of delight" from her!
Playing with the bouncy balls

Quick side note: Our awesome photographer (Alisha Schwanke) has posted some pictures from our session on her blog. Feel free to check them out by clicking on the link... http://alishaschwanke.blogspot.com/ and then scroll down to or click on "Emma&Co".
I've got more blogs coming so keep checking back!
What a ball she is having! Maybe she will take after me (Gammy) as I was a gymnist in my younger days in high school. I love the tights and bare feet! Keep up this type of activity with her as it is great for building confidence; body in space awareness; social skills; balance and it is just plain fun!!!! I hope to see her in a class when I come to visit but might just get carried away myself and start doing gymnastics with her!
