We were blessed with a beautiful holiday weekend and although we did get in a few good times, like the past couple of weekends, we unfortunately ended up with a visit to the doctor's office...it seems Emma's immune system is having a rough time adjusting to daycare. Thankfully she seems to be getting over this round of hand, foot and mouth much quicker than the last time and the antibiotics that she has been on are finally kicking this sinus infection's butt!!!
Because of the nice weather we spent a lot of time outside (who am I kidding, that's what we do every weekend!); visiting the local farmer's markets, playing with her new water mat, and visiting some neighbors. Towards the end of the weekend is when E took a turn for the worse so we pretty much played it close to home after that.
Apparently she thinks Charlie's bed is pretty comfy :)
On the way to the Farmer's Market in Greensboro...at this point she definitely isn't feeling too good...can you tell? We are lucky to have two local Farmer's Markets close by and although this was our first time checking them out I can honestly say I will be going back to both!
Some of you may have heard about our recent snake adventures (we've got about 5 living in our pond and we've seen quite a few around the house this year)....meet what we hope will be our new snake away...."Snappy" the snapping turtle! We found this "little" guy trying to cross our driveway over the weekend and we couldn't have been more thrilled to see him. Apparently he heard about the all you can eat snake buffet and has come to get his fill...at least that's what we're hoping!!!
Saturday afternoon I meet up with some wonderful girlfriends for lunch and Greensboro so Luke had "Daddy duty." We all know how much little Miss loves the water so Luke decided to give her new water mat a try. I'd say it was a big hit....I hope swimming lessons go over just as well. (We start 7/13 so keep your fingers crossed for us!)

Taking a milk break and posing for the camera :0)
Happy Memorial Day!
Thank you to all the men and women out there who risk so much to protect our country!
well remind me to never take a dip in your pond! :)
ReplyDeleteglad you all are doing well. emma is getting cuter by the day. i love that her thighs are still as chubby as they were when she was 4 months old. :) i could just squeeze her.
Love the water mat - looks fun! And - love the thigh rolls! We are doing swimming lessons too - starting next week and I am really excited.
