After such an eventful week it was great to just relax on Mother's Day. We didn't have anything particular planned, Luke said we could do whatever I wanted to do. So, we started the morning by just enjoying the beautiful weather and playing outside in the yard.

A couple of weeks ago I "made" a sandbox for E in her play-yard and although it took a while for her to warm up to it, she seems to really enjoy it. Here she is preparing to scoop!
This is actually a ring from her pool (that she sadly doesn't "fit" into anymore) but we've recycled it into a "crown" and she now loves playing "princesses"! (Oh what have I done, hopefully she'll lose interest soon)
After E's nap we decided we'd drive downtown and grab some ice cream and check out a local playground. I know, it seems pretty weird to drive to a playground when we have one in our backyard but I was hoping since it was such a nice day that there would be some kids out for E to play with.
E loving her banana pudding ice cream.
Just like I had hoped there was a ton of kids at the playground. Luke and I both took turns taking her down the slides, she got to do some swinging (another thing she loves) and they even had a little creek that we got to go splashing in.
Climbing on the playground with Mommy :)
Watching the other kids and enjoying the ride.
