Little Miss Sunshine...

...is seven months old today! How did that happen? This time last year we were just announcing to all of you that we were pregnant and yet somehow we managed to go from....

pregnant belly (14 weeks) to this...

..little Miss. Priss growing like a weed! Jokes aside, we do feel we are truly blessed to have Emma in our lives.

Emma continues to do well. She finally cut her first tooth just after Labor Day and based on the sleeping problems that just re-surfaced, I'd be willing to bet the second tooth is now on its way.

We've started introducing solids again and I'm disappointed to say that Emma seems to prefer her veggies over any sort of fruit. I say I'm disappointed but only because I LOVE fruit, oh well! She has also started drinking from a sippy cup but more often than not she prefers to drink from Luke's and my glass.

Emma hasn't started crawling yet (although I predict it will happen shortly) but she has gotten very fast at "creeping" around the rooms. Emma is definitely an "on the go" baby and loves to explore. She still absolutely adores Charlie and with the introduction of solids, I'd say the feeling is mutual (for the time being)!

I know in previous emails I've written about how Emma is such the "chatty Cathy". Well, I'm very thankful to say that she is finally starting to make consonant sounds. (I was really getting tired of all the vowel sounds!) She is still as loud as ever but at least there is a little variety to listen to all day long :)

Well, I guess that's about it for this post. We will be in VA starting on Sunday and we're looking forward to seeing some of you. Hope you all have a great week!

  1. I really enjoy this. You are getting quite "professional" in your photog efforts! I love the "frosted" effect around Emma's fall picture with the leaves.

Of course the little darlin' is just as sweet as I remember her (at least in her pictures)and I can't wait to see her again and "chew" on her cheeks...Halloween will be fun.

    Love Gammy in NVA
